I picked up this little set at Sephora for $25, as I had never tried the Bite Beauty line. I’ve heard other bloggers rave about it, so this limited edition holiday gift set was perfect for me to dabble with their products. And just in time for the holidays, I think this would be a great idea for a stocking stuffer or gift for a friend/girlfriend/wife/mom/aunt/cousin.

I love that it comes in this little tin. It reminds me of the Altoid tins. I was so surprised to find that the tin contained a mirror, too! Now, that’s just awesome and totally reusable for your handbag. Each tin contains 4 mini-high pigment lip pencils (full size is regularly priced at $24 each) in some very lovely colors — Winterberry (“festive raspberry red”); Sable (pink-toned nude); Rhubarb (“plum rose”); and Pomegranate (“rich red”). The only two colors not available in their regular collection are the Winterberry and Sable, according to the Sephora website.

Generally, the Bite Beauty High Pigment Lip Pencils are similar to the Clinique Chubby Sticks, but they are slightly more moisturizing and way more pigmented. I was truly surprised by the pigmentation with the amount of creaminess of the formula. Well done, Bite Beauty! The company bills them as a matte lip color, but I don’t find them to be super matte. They do have a slight sheen due to the creaminess of the formula, but it’s definitely not a super shine lip product. The formula does NOT contain parabens, sulfates, or phthalates, and is free of synthetics, polybutenes, and petroleum by-products. Basically, these lip pencils are made with food-grade ingredients, which considering it will be on your lips, is a really fantastic thing!

So far my favorite is the color Rhubarb (shown below) because it’s a “your lips but better” color. I always have trouble finding those colors because my lips are naturally dark, so I end up with a lipstick that is lighter than my natural lip leaving me with a nude lip rather than a slightly more natural looking lip. This color really hits the bullseye for me. I will definitely buy it in the full size when I run out of the mini. I think it could be a great every day, year round color, especially if you’re one of those ladies who does not do bright or colorful lipsticks.

The set is limited edition in Sephora for the holidays, and we all know those sets go so quickly! I spoke to Sephora online this morning and they are sold out online. So, if you want one of these, head down to Sephora pronto and grab it. At $25, it’s definitely a little set worth grabbing.

Have you tried any Bite Beauty products? If so, let me know in the comments what I should try next from their line.

Stay Glittery (and warm) this Holiday season, beauties!

xoxo,

Candice
