Welcome to Part 3 of the “empties” series! Today, I’m gonna quickly run through some bodycare products. Most of these are from the same line, but I bought the whole line at the same time, as they are a constant staple in my bathroom closet.

Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy SLEEP Lavender Chamomile Body Lotion, $13 (available at Bath & Body Works)

I love anything lavender, so this was going to be a win for me no matter what. But I was pleasantly surprised by the non-greasy hydrating formula of this body lotion. Usually, aromatherapy-based lotions contain essential oils, so the lotions tend to be a little on the oily/greasy side leaving a slight residue. This one leaves no greasy residue! Definitely one I will pick up again.

Bella Flora PocketBac, $1.75 each or 5 for $5 (available at Bath & Body Works)

Bella Flora Antibacterial Gel, $1.75, Bath & Body Works
Bella Flora Antibacterial Gel, $1.75, Bath & Body Works

I purchased several of these at the 5 for $5 sale, and had never really tried the Bella Flora scent. This one was from the Bath & Body Works Italian Collection. I really liked this scent and urge them to bring it back. It’s a great combination of citrus and light floral, specifically, grapefruit zest and jasmine petals. Undoubtedly, I love having antibacterial gel around all the time, and it’s just plain fun to have a nicely scented one rather than a non-fragrant one.

Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy SLEEP Lavender Chamomile Hand Soap, $5.50 (available at Bath & Body Works)

I absolutely love the scent, which is becoming obvious, I’m certain. But, this is just a good run of the mill hand soap. Not really anything fancy to say about it except it smells really good. I like to keep a rotation going with hand soaps, so I’m certain I will repurchase it at some point again.

Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy SLEEP Lavender Chamomile Pillow Mist, $10 (available at Bath & Body Works)

This product is one of my favorite indulgences, even though it’s super affordable at $10!! Every time I put clean sheets on my bed, I spray this on each layer. So, fitted sheet goes on with a little spray, then flat sheet, then comforter, etc. Layering the scent with your linens makes for one relaxing spa-like experience when you crawl into bed at night. I even use this on my furniture from time to time. It just smells so lovely, dries instantly, and leaves a lingering scent in the room. I have already repurchased this one!

Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy SLEEP Lavender Chamomile Body Wash & Foam Bath, $13 (available at Bath & Body Works)

I love this body wash for night time. I use several different body washes throughout the week, and this is my staple for night time. I feel like it just gets me in the “ready to relax” mode. It works well as a bubble bath too, but if you’re looking for real bubbles, I recommend the Bath & Body Works Luxury Bath in the scent of your choice. So far, I believe this is nearly my 5th or 6th bottle of this body wash.

I have a few others to discuss, but they aren’t pictured here simply because they do not come in a container of any sort.

First, is the DreamTime Luxury Bath Melt, $6.25, available at LUSH (click here to see it). This is a buttery bar of goodness that you drop in the bath to moisturize your skin. It’s made with cocoa butter, lavender, chamomile, jasmine, and sandalwood. I usually cut it into four pieces and drop a piece into my bubble bath for an extra oomph for my skin. I go through these like crazy! I repurchase them all the time.

Second, I am a big fan of the Karma Bubble Bar, $8.90, available at LUSH (click here to see it). The Karma Bubble Bar is a large soap-like bar that you crumble into your bath for bubbles. And man, does it make great luscious bubbles!! The scent is lemongrass, pine oil, and patchouli, which isn’t something I would usually go for, but this smells lovely. In aromatherapy, pine oil is said to calm the mind. I tend to agree. This scent makes for a very relaxing and mind clearing bath after a long hard day at work. A little tip with these, though — get out your cheese grater and grate this thing into a jar! I know that sounds a little crazy, but you’ll get at least 8 baths out of it this way. If you try to crumble it with your fingers at bath time, you’ll over use the product because it kind of starts falling apart once you start crumbling. Using the crumble method, you’ll be lucky to get 4 baths out of this bar. Once you’ve grated it, scoop about 1/4 cup into the foot of a pair of pantyhose. Tie knots in the pantyhose around each side of the little lump of Karma goodness, and then tie the whole thing around your faucet. This way, the pantyhose filter the water through the product giving you bigger bubbles and an extended life of your product.

Hope you’ve enjoyed today’s bodycare empties! Share some of your favorite bath or bodycare products in the comments below!

Stay Glittery Beauties,

Candice
